


Jan and Trevor D. Rees-Jones ’78
A second-generation 51³Ô¹ÏÍøalumnus, Trevor Rees-Jones earned his Juris Doctor from the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøDedman School of Law after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. In the years since his graduation, Rees-Jones has become a renowned presence in the Dallas law, business, and oil and gas industries, establishing Chief Oil & Gas in 1994.
An alumna of Texas Tech University, Jan Rees-Jones is an active Dallas community member and volunteer, with 51³Ô¹ÏÍøservice including the George W. Bush Women’s Initiative Advisory Council and the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøJohn Goodwin Tower Center Board of Directors, as well as in women’s ministry at the couple’s church.
Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones are longtime supporters of 51³Ô¹ÏÍøand the founders of The Rees-Jones Foundation, which focuses on the personal development, protection, and physical and mental health of children and youth. Jan Rees-Jones currently serves as the vice chair and director of the foundation, which has also contributed greatly to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøinitiatives across campus, particularly those focused on child advocacy and education.
The American West has long been of great interest to me, and I’m pleased that Jan and I can share that passion with 51³Ô¹ÏÍøstudents and faculty, the greater Dallas community and visiting scholars.
