The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers courses in Ancient Greek, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
In addition to a diverse variety of course offerings the department offers a variety of internships and study abroad opportunities.
A specialization in one of these languages combined with first hand immersion in global culture, history, film, art, literature, and business prepares students for variety of career opportunities.
