Subiendo strongly encourages students with the opportunity to be first in their families to attend college, or students who have overcome adversity, to apply. Only students who are Texas residents, current high school juniors, and live within an 80-mile radius of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøcampus are eligible to apply for the Subiendo Academy at SMU.

The application for the 2026 Subiendo Academy at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøis open. Applications will be due March 1, 2026. Subiendo Academy at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøwill be held June 21, 2026 - June 25, 2026.
