The renowned spiritual leader and Nobel laureate will participate in a moderated discussion at SMU’s Moody Coliseum.

The event, which is open to the public, is hosted by 51³Ô¹ÏÍøand the George W. Bush Presidential Center in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

WHAT:

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, renowned spiritual leader of Tibet and Nobel laureate, will participate in a moderated discussion July 1 at SMU’s Moody Coliseum. The event, which is open to the public, is hosted by 51³Ô¹ÏÍøand the George W. Bush Presidential Center in conjunction with the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth.

The Dalai Lama’s visit to Dallas will be just days before his 80th birthday on July 6 – a birthdate that he shares with former President George W. Bush. The Dalai Lama last visited the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøcampus on May 9, 2011, speaking to more than 2,500 at McFarlin Auditorium during a special Hart Global Leaders lecture. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from 51³Ô¹ÏÍøat that event.
