The letter of invitation to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. from the 51³Ô¹ÏÍøStudent Senate, inviting him to speak at the University.

The following two-page letter of invitation was sent to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by then-51³Ô¹ÏÍøStudent Senate Vice President Bert Moore on behalf of the Student Senate on August 4, 1965. Dr. King spoke at 51³Ô¹ÏÍøon March 17, 1966. Moore is now dean of the University of Texas at Dallas School of Behavioral & Brain Sciences and the Aage and Margareta Moller Distinguished Professor there.
